Crispy Fried Green Beans with Hot Mustard Sauce

1 cup all purpose flour
2 tablespoons baking powder
1 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon tumeric
kosher salt and black pepper (to taste)
1 1/4 cups water (ice code)

Combine all dry ingredients. Whisk water into dry ingredients.

Mustard Sauce
1/4 cup Coleman’s dry mustard
1/2 cup rice wine vinegar
1 tablespoon yellow miso paste
1/3 cup agave
2 egg yolks

Combine all ingredients in mixing bowl and whisk until smooth. Place bowl over a pot of simmering water and cook until thick, whisking frequently.

Green Beans
2 pounds green beans – washed and trimmed
6 cups canola oil
kosher salt and black pepper (to taste)

Lightly coat beans with batter and fry in 350 degree oil until crispy (about 2 minutes). Remove beans from oil, season with salt and pepper, and place on towel to drain. Place green beans on desired serving platter with small container of mustard sauce.
